Damn, I thought I knew but I forgot. Anyway I know for the Z6 you have two choices. Get the metal one with the rasied little bumps. The early ones had problems with blowing. I think there is a small difference in the Z6 and Y8 head gaskets. I'm pretty sure the Y8 is a little thicker, but not enough to worry about.
Hey i emailed u , incase u didn't get it i live in fwb and have done a mini-me swap you should contact me if you need to know anything.

there isn't much difference between the z6 and y8 gaskets, thinkness mostly. The Y8 is the thinner of the 2. What ever you do DON'T use an A6 haed gasket. I thought I could get away with using the cheaper gasket, but appreantly the water jacket holes on the a6 head gasket are too small, or don't line up right with the VTEC heads. Now the engine overheats before I can get out of my neighborhood. Guess i'll be doing the whole job over again
damn dood, sorry to hear that.. i sold my z6 head and im buying a y8 for less than i sold the z6 for.. so im gonna go with the y8 gasket after all
good luck with the new gastket
good luck with the new gastket
there is no a6 head gasket anymore the shity gasket was discontinued now they use the 92-95 dx one...y8 will give u the most compression.....use that and get new head bolts do go cheap on ur ****
