You should have a chipping kit with a blank atmel chip along with the ribbon cable that connects to cn2 on the ecu. All of this data should be on hondata.com

How does that help his situation? He already has the blue box. While Crome is a good option, maybe he'd rather stick with s200.

OP: start searching here: http://hondata.com/s200.html

thnks peeps...yea, i found out that i need some chips like stated above...someone told me to use these
http://www.moates.net/product_...id=42
would those do the job?? i was also told that i needed the 2 wires that go plug next to the serial plug...i guess one of them has a red button on it or something and the other one is for the Full Throttle Shift & 2 step but not needed...

i first i was thinking on going with Chrome because i been hearing good things about it....but then again, i all ready have the s200 blue box and the other wire that i was talkin about..

what would be cheaper and better to do??go with chrome??or just get the chips and wires that i need??

If you already have the Hondata box and ribbon cable, most places will get your ECU up and ready to go for about $50. This is much cheaper than starting from scratch with crome.

I dont know exactly where in Cali you are, but the guys next door to Church Automotive Testing in Wilmington do the work.

I have my s200 already setup in the car and it's not easy to find someone to tune it. I know people who tune s300 and crome, but not s200. There is a local guy that tunes s200, but he wants $300 for one hour on the dyno. I can go with crome for $200 - dyno time and the cost of chipping another ecu.

wow...why is it more expensive to tune with s200???well besides that its hard to find someone that'll do it...should i just go with Chrome and try to sell what i have on Ebay or something??

this is the only 2 items i have...what is the wire in the pic called?

Interface cable. Tuning Hondata or Crome is very similar, charging more to tune one than the other is a bit absurd.

What? where are you getting all this info? Its not any more expensive to tune with hondata than crome, most tuners charge by the hour, regardless of the type of system. How is it hard to find someone that will tune Hondata? Why are you still asking if you should go with Crome when several people have told you since you already have the most important component of Hondata to just stick with it? Dont ask for advice if youre not going to listen.

I'm not sure that you're reading the thread. I was quoted more to tune my s200 than Crome. It was also hard to find someone to tune the s200 system, but there were plenty of Crome tuners.

Im sure i read the thread. Youre incident of being quoted more to tune the s200 than CROME does not a pandemic make. Why is this even being discussed? If the guy already has the damn box, being in So Cal, with tons of Hondata tuners around, why would you switch to another sys?

the info is coming from previous posts..im have this questions because i really dont know what im going to be getting into because this is the first time imma tune my car...i never experienced any type of tunin with any system...i ride my LS hatch around while building my b16 head aside...the s200 was given to me which was something i never looked into because i though to myself that when i was gonna tune, i was gonna go with chrome...but since the hondata stuff was given to me, i decide to look into that to see if i can shave my self some money...only reason i ask questions...sorry for not knowing everything

I dont expect you to know everything, but a little common sense goes a long way.
