Default Power Steering Help!

My power steering went crazy today. I was turning right and all of a sudden the wheel cranked all the way to the right and I cranked it back to center and then it went all the way left, along with some clunking. What does this mean? its like if I have the front end jacked up and turn the wheel. Also when it was bitter cold out I would have no power steering. It would be really hard to turn.

Would this be the power steering or just the steering rack it self?
Also I looked under the hood and the line that connects both left and right steering rack boots is not connected to the right boot.

1995 Del Sol si

thanks

thanks man, I checked the driver side tie rod and the inner rod ball joint if f'ed up. Taking it to mieneke. So if your steering is going crazy check your tie rods!
