Please help a NOOB out. this is my first high HP honda and i would really like to keep it longer than a month! ya know?

maybe because that turbo is drowning out the sound of vtec crossing over
has it been tuned? is the power graph smooth all the way to redline? if so, dont worry about it.

it has been tuned by a reputable shop, but it was with the previous owner. and i dont think the sound is being drowned out. the change ove is pretty abrupt right>?
And im a noob..... where is the vtec soleniod located and how would i be able to tell if it was functioning properly?

its that solenoid next to the distributor...
between the distributor and the valve cover
its a round thingy in there about 1.5 tall...
some **** like that...
and how do you know its not engaging???
are you listening to it...when that RPM hits???
you should have a vtec point...fint out what RPM your vtec kicks in...
then from there...drive it again...watch your RPM and listen closely...
when it hits the vtec point...maybe your vtec kicks in late...and maybe your not reaching the right RPM for it to hit....
let us know thats up
