my friend's mom's pilot is making a knock noise and the dealer can't find out what is causing it. They are offering to replace the whole motor.

anyone have a pilot and heard of this? car is 1 1/2 old and is under warranty.

 

what are the conditions when the knocking noise oocurs? under braking? under accel? when turning? need some more info

 

when the motor is running...the knock interval increases as the revs increases

so it does it in neutral and under load? if so then it does sound motor related only. I own a 04 Pilot and never experienced anything like that.

They're in the process of replacing the whole motor.
