High RPM Idle
When i turn on my car, it rocks the RPM to about 1500 maybe 2100 RPM and or some where between that, and it just feels like its accelerating or being like gasses apawn by itself.. and i herad thats unhealthy.. do you guys have a solution? maybe something i could look at? ( i drive a 90' Accord 4 door2.2L Sohc ) i was thinkin throttle body..
well i havent checked on the cable yet, but it goes to about 2100 RPM and like after it runs a lil it drops slowly and goes to like 1700-1500ish.. and when i put it in R or something then it drops and the car like hums really loudly...
Its funny cause I have a '99 Honda Accord and its doing the same thing. I haven't been able to figure it out but its really annoying. My car as soon as I start driving the rpms will be about 1100, but when its in neutral or in park it goes up to about 1700-2000 rpm. THIS SUCKS!!!
yeah its annoying.. this mornign i felt it like accelerate by itself, it like went to 1500 when i turned it on, then it went to like 1800 and then when i put it in R it went down to like 400 rpm...

I don't know what you have already tried, but i had a similar issue not long ago after putting on a new intake manifold on my 92 accord. My issue ended up being a vacuum leak. What i did was take a spray bottle and spray over the intake manifold around your gaskets and throttle body. If the sound of the engine changes when you spray a certain spot, you have a leak there. Make sure all your vac lines are connected and not cracked or broken. Also make sure your throttle cable isn't too tight, the specifications will be in your haynes manual. Also check to make sure your throttle plate is closing all the way. Good luck.
