Default Fresh tune by InlinePro. NICE!

Just picked up my car from inline...the car made 190 at the wheels when I bought it. After 2 1/2 years I decided it was time for a fresh tune, and who other to go to then Inline, right up the street from me. The car made 206whp, a nice improvement, and it pulls hard until 9.5k. Ill do my best to get my dyno sheet up here, but Im always here at work. The setup is a moderatly built ls/vtec setup. Sorry if you feel this is a pointless thread, im just excited .

I didn't believe it when I saw it either. Other mods include CTR Pistons and rods, ITR Crank, springs retainers. After all I'd heard about most LSVTEC setups giving out after 20,000 miles I can't say I believe them...still runs strong as hell, if not stronger.

If you have an itr crank I wouldn't really call it an ls-vtec.

Hmm, CTR rods are a little long to work with CTR pistons with an ITR or LS crank in that setup. Somethings not right.

Whats wrong with a b18a1 block with ctr rods/itr crankshaft?
(Probably a newb question to some, but I'm trying to get educated.)

The CTR block used the same block deck height as the LS/GSR/ITR blocks. But it used the same stroke length as the B16. To make up for the taller block with the shorter stroke, the rod length was increased. If you put a longer stroke in one of those blocks with CTR length rods, the pistons will pop out of the bore a good amount. A good amount as in un-useable.

No CTR rods. I will admit I was uneducated about this, but now that I know I can't make that mistake anymore (my own stupidity). Im assuming it's just the stock 90-93 ls rods, that way there wouldn't be a bore clearing issue.

Why? Because with pretty high compression and big cams it made just over 200whp?

No because it still running. Wouldnt the ITR crank drop his compression nearly a point.

Try betting my car is stock. Odds would be more in your favor.

That would be more dictated by the rods he used as well as the type of pistons. Its not a miracle to get an LS/Vtec to last 100k or so miles. There is no logical reason why it would die within 20k miles. Thats just from the majority of people half assing the builds.
