Default CV Shaft :(

I was over to a friends house.. went to leave, I hop in my civic and try to start it. Nothing happens. Ive had this problem before. I knew the battery wasnt dead. I think its a bad connection to my starter or something. Seems to solve itself.

As I was reaching around pulling / pushing wires around the starter, my hand scooped up a whole handful of grease. I grabbed a flashlight and looked, and the cv boot has a 3 inch rip in it, and almost all of the grease has flung itself to the backside of the tranmission.

How much am I looking @ paying for a new shaft?

WHere should I buy it? Napa, autozone, etc etc,

Are any of the shafts a "better" quality?

Thanks
-Cody

I usually get a new CV shaft at autozone. :lifetime warrenty and the cost less what you get back from the core is basicly $30 with no mess to deal with

Autozone/Parts America shafts are fine...just get the whole axle with a lifetime warranty. They will give you $ for your old one, as a core trade, also.
Good deal
