how much 1/4 mile time will be shaved off by adding a test pipe?
will my 1/4 mi. ET be reasonably lower by adding a test pipe? is it worth it? I plan on putting mine on this weekend with my new header(5zigen).
TIA

dont know exactly , but i have seen 3/10 off mine easy with the header + test pipe and still having traction problems .
awesome mod.
awesome mod.
it depends on your set up for that . i ran open header once last year . . . granted i still had he stock cat and the stock header, but i lost mph and i ended up with the same et.
i didnt try it with the new mods yet though, it might help now .

Ran a test last week with an open header on the dyno and just unbolting the b-pipe and moving it over, the power stayed the same, except I ran lean as hell. After advancing the intake cam 2 degrees I picked up 4 hp from 6000 to 7000 and like +12 hp from 4500 to 6000. Now this doesn't mean it didn't excelerate faster. Have to try it out on the strip.

Test pipe replaces cat with a piece of straight pipe....
Pollution+smell goes waaayy up!
(For minimal performance gains...)
Just get a high flow cat.
