brake job
had the oppurtunity to swap out the old rotors and pads on my 92.(first time on a eg)
never knew that it would be so easy on a eg. ordered a set of brembo blanks from nopi(with free shipping) thanks to a few fellow members for the hook up. and a set of pbr/axxis deluxe from irp. they work well together great for daily driving. shipping was fast.
fyi: brembo came out with a new design on their rotor; it has two small tiny circles on the surface. it lets you know when rotors needs to be replace. thought it was pretty cool.
is there a way to keep our rotors rust free?

yes drive the car often, move to dry climate with little humidity and rain! On lighter note, you can paint the mounting/hub part of the rotor with high heat paint, or use a wire brush once in a while to remove any rust and reaply paint, but all this does nothing for prelonging life of rotor, simply cosmetic!

Rust will not affect the performance. It's only surface rust unless you park the car for a long period.

Drive really fast, slam on your brakes. Repeat.
Sure, your rotors will be warped, but they'll be nice and shiny.
Honestly, it's not a performance problem, it's surface rust. If you need to do a photoshoot, take your wheels off, and use some Eagle Nev-R-Dull (wadding polish) on your rotors. They'll shine like new. It'll probably only last a day or two, but it'll at least be good for some pictures or a show/meet.

When i put my new brakes on i was siked on the look, no surface rust. but after a couple months surface rust was showing up, so i took the drill and a wire wheel, got it all off. then taped off my caliper and where the rotar goes through the caliper. the rest of put some clear coat on, its been awhile now, through winter and they still look new.
