k-series questionssss
can somebody just simply clearify the differences between all of the k-series motors..maybe throw in some specs and numbers also...im not too familiar with them as you can see and have an opportunity to buy a k-series swaped eg..so if you can please just post up any info possible..thanks guys
you are going to have to take the time to search. What you are asking, would take a long time to assemble in one post.
There are a lot of different kinds of K series motors...
It's like you are looking to buy a house but want to learn everything about real estate... what ever happened to the house? lol
So let;s talk about the EG you want to buy, what are the mods and specs? Maybe as we take a look at the details of the EG, we can talk about things you are curious about.
Meanwhile, you should know for starters that not all K series motors have "vtec" heads.. Although they all have IVTEC covers.... only the
2002+ rsx type s , TSX, 2006 Civic Si, japanese k20a type R have the good heads.. that take the good cams with the 3 lobes..
As far as the blocks, there are crv, accord, tsx, element, rsx base, rsx s, ep3 k20a3, k20a R, 06+ Civic Si
All blocks will work with the good heads... as far as fitment.. if you want to retain stock pistons only the CRV, TSX, and the k20 block will work..
That is prertty much in simple terms..
when buying an already swapped EG, try to learn how the pnp harness works and take a crash course in all the sensors of the motor and what to look for when the car is not starting for example..lol
Powerwise, the K series motors can make up to around 250whp just with cams and good manifolds and hondata Kpro andheader on stock blocks and stock heads...
k24a have good tq for daily driving and tq is everywhere.

Sup, wow didn't realize how much there is to know..well what's the difference between the k20 and k20a2....also I was interested in the k-series swapped eg posed by recap..its a 93 si eg with a k series swap..let me know what you think
looks ok, not crazy about the fuel setup but that is a detail. At 8500, it is price right. But the car needs some work.. It used to look nice, now it looks ok...
I think it is a good deal... it would cost you around 8000 to do the swap without even counting the car
