Default ITR MUGEN suspension

Guys,

A friend of mine has a 96 ITR JDM.

He has the Mugen shocks +springs on it, however he wants the car a bit lower than now, so we were thinking on coilovers.

Since he has MUGEN shocks, can we take the springs out and add some coilovers?

I need to know if we find mugen coilovers, or any good JDM brand to add to these MUGEN shocks.

Reply will be appreciated.

Rishi

Personally i wouldnt no matter how good quality the coilover sleeves are, and thats all you can fit as proper coilovers are shock/spring combination with adjustable collars that allow you to raise/lower the springs.

Still no answer on my question, yes the real MUGEN gold lowdowns springs.

Can i have some deals offered on what would be perfect to use on these mugen shocks.

If you lower the car more than the Mugen springs do on the Mugen shocks, then you'll need to increase springrate and quite possibly the shocks will die out soon.

If your friend wants to slam his car, he's taking the chance of runing the shocks. I'd suggest leaving the Mugen lowdowns on there (which is a decent setup) or getting a matched set of springs/shocks or true adjustable coilovers.

The Mugen lowdown is a matched shock/spring set. I wouldn't recommend swapping out the springs - just sell the suspension and buy a nice set of coilovers.
