Default GSR Swap

It may say i am a noob and all but i have been around imports for a while now, i know what is involved, i hate the ricey look, etc. But i was just wondering on some places to go to get a complete GSR swap for a GOOD price, the lowest i have found is $2799 at http://www.japandomesticmotor.com. Does anybody have an places lower, or better deals?

2799 + 500 shipping + 4-600 for installation (if not doing it yourself) = 3699-3899

Most shops will charge around 3500 for a complete swap installed. Might want to check some local shops around your area if you will not do the install yourself.

Check Hmotorsonline.com

For 3000.00 just the engine you might as well save up another g and get the type r swap.

hmotors
passwordjdm.com
and about 1000 more places to buy motors from.

Don't do long distance business with any company from Montreal. Osaka lurks there, potentially behind the scenes.

I'd spend the extra $350 to buy peace of mind from Steve at HMotorsOnline.com. You're much more likely to get a good engine than get screwed, and he is easy to contact and deal with if there is an issue.

And if money is tight then you definately want a few extra dollars saved up for last minute things that also seem to pop up.

Hmotors is extremely recommended by alot of people. If I buy another motor it will be from them next.

just look around your area (classifieds, local boards, etc). gsr swaps has gone down in price drastically. you can probably pick one up for 2k-2.5k depending on year, condition, and whats all included. for example, i sold my complete usdm itr swap for 3.1k and it took me 6 months to sell it at that price, so there's always going to be a bargain out there. it also depends if you want to travel for it as well
