Now I have a 98 civic ex 1.6L base model engine and bought a tec distributor. I do not know or can not tell what dizzy I had on last but the tec dizzy fits right on. Do I have the wrong dizzy though because it sounds like it is misfiring....Any help would be much loved.

 

tec dizzy...ummm...whatever that is...but if it is misfiring, check your firing order...probably put it on wrong...

 

AS ek4_b16a suggested, the firing order would be the first thing I double-checked.

 

then check the timing

 

you may blow your engine if you keep the spark plugs in the incorrect order (if that's what the problem is).

 

How would I check the timing? Anyone plz help?
