I was just curious if anyone knows if there is a difference between the Red seats in a Ap1 and Ap2?

I own a 00' Berlina Black, but it has the Black/Red door panel combo, and red carpet. The orginal seats were stolen from the previous owner, and he replaced them with black.

i just got a mint pair of 04 red seats (which I swear are impossible to find anywhere i took me 3 months, and just for kicks i keep looking and still get squat) but rumor had it that there is a slight color diff between the reds seats in certain years.

can anyone confirm the authenticity of this?

also, anyone know where i can get brand new oem red carpet? mine is getting a little worn, and i want my baby to shine in and out

 

i have never heard of such a thing but just because i can say it..
AP1 seats are better...

 

haha yeah, Ap1 all the way.

I was going to title this thread Ap1 vs. Ap2...but for fear of being shot..out of a cannon..into the sun, i decided to re-title it.

anyone else know anything on this rumor?

Supposedly the material is different. AP2 seats appear duller, while AP1 seats are more shiny. It could just be wear, but this is the whole seat that I've noticed, not just certain spots. 06+ seats are of a different material as well.

Now get in the cannon.

 

ap2 seats feel a bit softer...just a hair though.

 

ap1 - uses italian leather

ap2 - uses carabao skin
