Default SMSP Cat installed (with pics)!

First I wanna show you what my spoon drain plug picked up from today's oil change. Is that worth the $$$, you decide.

I bought the SMSP cat about 2 months ago and finally got it installed earlier this week.

The O2 sensor barely clears the extension rod and shift linkage:

I dont' think I'll have any bottoming out problems.

What kind of header is that? Looks like a Vision downpipe with Spoon header (primaries)!!!

The new OBDII cats look like this and the O2 bung location provides better clearance.

I will be putting Ross' cat on this week, sometime. I can take a few pics if you would like to see how it fits. It is the "new" version.

Ross' car will have a JDM header, Carsound cat, TypeOne bpipe(I think thats what it is?) and a Spoon N1.

Thats the exact cat I bought from Dave. The clearance is perfect for the sensor

In 3rd and 4th gear, I swear the O2 sensor is touching the shift linkage cause I can feel the vibration on my seat.

Better move it. The o2 sensor gets damaged easily and is not cheap to replace.

I installed a Comptech cat a few weeks ago and the O2 sensor is also abutting the shift rod. Best way to fix it is to get longer rubber hangers or to stretch the existing ones.

BTW, you can get a megnetic drain plug at Pep Boys for a few bucks.

(Knowing Spoon, that is what they do. Then they add a special 4000% Spoon markup.)

Yes, please post pics when you have it installed, I would like to see the "new" design.

That thing stuck to the drain plug is the magnet on the spoon oil plug. The stock plug does not have this magnet so that's probably why it doesn't look right to you.
