fuel efficiency
So i do quite some highway driving during the week. my question is how does the R still get mid twenties MPG when the rev is at 4.5k-5k. My intial thought was higher the rev lower the gas milage.....

This was discussed and thoroughly covered in a stock FD vs 4.9 FD thread. It really depends on the speed and load along with the gearing to make it so efficient. I can't remember the thread or exact numbers to give you an idea but it was a matrix. Higher speed doesn't always equate to more fuel consumption.
HTH.

while traveling at constant throttle your car is in closed loop. so ecu readjust a/f until its 14.7 regardless if its 3k or 5k..
