Default vss question

k so my vss went out and i dont know much about which parts to buy when stuff breaks... so i have a 92 civic with a b16 w/ the hydro tranny. should be obd-i. Now when i go to like a auto store which car make/model do i say its for? because when i asked for a vss for a del sol they were like they dont make one or some **** (3 diff auto stores said that) then i just asked so it can fit a b16a3 (which someone said) and they were like lalala ::typeing:: negative soooo which car would have the same vss as my current? thanks a bunch. for the record i tryed to ask for the umm 95 del sol vtec and they said dont have one. i also went to 3 different junk yards and couldnt find any 92+ hondas :-/ all were like 80s or the ones i did find in the 90s they were the cable vss

should be the same VSS for all b-series hydro trannies. And that is an OEM, I am pretty sure, so the auto parts places wont have them. Keep trying junkyards, or look online for a used one.

Just go order one for a DOHC del sol, a 99-00 SI, any integra, all of them will work man. I have thrown OBD2 motors into OBD1 harnesses and never had a problem with the VSS not converting year to year in the wiring harness.

I think any B16 will work. I just saw a used one on ebay yesterday for $40 shipped.
