mpfi dizzy on dpfi????
Ok I just got a good deal on a 1990 civic lx (dpfi). I was in the process of giving it a tuneup and found myself battling problems everywhere from rotten hoses to seized hardware.
When I got to taking the rotor off the dizzy I found that someone had rounded the socket head bolt out so I couldn't get it unscrewed. Finally after walking a mile between my vise and the car I was able to file down an old allen wrench to fit. As I was trying to unscrew it the damn head broke off. Now I have a seized bolt broke off in the dizzy shaft.
I ran into the garage and started to take off the dizzy from my blown d16a6 engine out of my 1990 crx si. The two dizzys are different in some ways and similar in others. Most notably the wiring plugs are different (d16a6 dizzy has one more wire).
Questions:
Does anyone have an old dpfi dizzy they don't want/need?
or
Is there an easy fix to make my mpfi dizzy work on the dpfi?

Thats why I posted.... I figured people are just throwing their old ones out since they are not wanted. You have 3? Mind helping a brother out?

Yes I noticed they are different but I didnt know if I could do some wiring to make it work.
If they are easy to find, I must not be looking in the right place.
