Default Most Aggressive Cams to Run on a B16b... your input pls

Ok, ive done some searching and found stuff for b18s and b16s, But i think the b16b is a different engine with the higher compression, and not being able to run some cams certain b18s can due to some cams just being over kill...

Ok well...
Right now im running a DC 4-1 header, decat, buddyclub pro spec decat back.
Im also running a normal JDM password induction. Very simple right now.
Stock b16b internals.

I want to run the most extreme cam possible while still using it as a daily driver. People have used Rocket motorsports or blox or buddyclubs etc....

Im looking for a cam that can also be used if i decide to use a stroker kit.
I will definitely be using ITBs eventually.

I will be raising the compression to a maximim of 12:1 as the gas here in the UK isnt the best. So 12:1 should be SAFE enough and reliable enough to use.

I love extreme vtec crossovers. I dont like smooth cross overs.

Please help!

THANKS

rm m22x, skunk 2 pro 1 would both be excellent choices imo.

if you want "mAd TyTe CroSs OVeR" then get the m22's. even thought the high cam is similar between the 2, the BC4's have bigger primaries which result in a smooter x-over....you will also be a rice boy if you decide on cams based on how "extreme" the cross over is.

im defintiely not a ricer... but i do A LOT of town driving... and i would like a very soft primary cam. But when i do boot the car i want some extreme power up top! even with the standard b16b type r cams i get quite a surge of power when vtec kicks in. But i want something more extreme... I dont to auto x or anything so i dont need a smooth crossover... this is just to have my own fun and do the occasional drag. And if i am having fun on country road im always in vtec anyway...

I want to keep the idle as stock as possible but have that explosive top end these 1.6s are supposed to have!

I have always thought about the m22s... can i run these with any other valvetrain? like buddyclub or skunk 2 parts?

Also whats more aggressive, BC4 or BC5??? whats ideal for a daily driver? (REMEMBER explosive top end is what im looking for)

Thanks everyone!

Clean rice your help is much appreciated as i know you know everything about b16bs!!! Give me your advice!!! whats the best head setup for what im looking for.
Remember i will eventually be running ITBs

Until you do anything to it, I'd just run something "small" like M21X's or similar.

can you please elaborate a bit... what do you mean by do anything to it...
I want to find the right cam and then work to get the right compression for it etc...
What work would you suggest... i was going to do the normal things to raise compression.

Im getting my car tuned on s200 very soon so when i get the cams it will be ready for a quick tune etc..

You can't just throw a big cam in there and expect it to rip. You could put M25X's in it and it wouldn't do a whole lot more than it does stock. You need to build your engine as a whole. If you want to put big cams in it, then put in a 1.8 crank.

If you want a smooth idle and an explosive top end, you can't beat the M22x. Mine idle perfect in my motor, yet with a stock air box and exhaust manifold they peaked at 8,700. If you are going to do itb's, which I wouldn't personally but whatever, and do a good header like a Toda then the M22's would be perfect for you. The S2S2/Blox B/Wicked stage 2/Jun 3 would also be another cam choice, the M22 being larger than all of the above. I suppose you could run the cams with S2's Pro series valvetrain if need be, but we reccommend using our SL series or if you could find some gen2's for sale those would work well also. As long as you have a good intake and header combo with plenty of fuel, I think the M22x cam profile works wonders on the B16b. I have the MF Factory gear set in my car also, gotta love spinning 9,500 with really close gears....like a damn street bike.

clean rice, i see your an RM dealer... is it possible for you to send me a price of how much a full valvetrain (sl series) would set me back? im very interested in the M22x cams.
Why wouldnt you reccomend ITBs? ive only seen gd things, espcially with torque figures... Do you not think they are worth the money?

Is it worth changing the intake mani? because i thought a CTR intake mani was pretty damn gd ???

Also can you give me some more info on you mfactory gear set? sounds like a great upgrade for quick acceleration espeically if you raise your rpms...
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!
