turbo sounds like a supercharger..
aside the normal spool sound, i hear a whining sound kind of like supercharger.. once at full boost, it definately does'nt sound right
i'd like to eliminate smaller things out the way first, if it was bov (hks knock offs), would it sound like that if valve was loose??

Poorly balanced turbos that still have good clearances will 'scream', which equates to vibrating like hell. Check for big deposites on the exhaust wheel, or for developing shaft sideplay.
A large turbo with no intake or any turbo with no exhaust will have a jet-engine sound due to the way air flows past the blade tips. Its a smooth whistling, very few unusual harmonics (no buzzing/chattering/etc).

it almost sounds like brakes squeal like an echo of brakes squealing as it starts to spool and then into greater sound somewhat similar to saturn or cobalt.
i've had it for 4-5 years, about 35k miles or more and no problems. its not ball bearing
