Okay, I'm going to probably sound like a "noob" but has anyone made there own intake chamber then adding a decent air filter on it? like cutting your tubing then welding. blah blah? you know like the ARC one. just a thought.

 

Well, the ARC setup is not very good from a performance standpoint anyway, so your time and effort might be better spent elsewhere. If you wanted to replicate an intake as a DIY project, you might want to try constructing something similar the the Mugen piece, which is well known as an excellent performer.
