as far as i know each engine/ecu combo can have a different harness. variables include transmission type auto/manual, vtec/non vtec, air con/no air con etc etc.

different auto and manual harnesses as well as obd2a (96-98) and obd2b (99-00)
different auto and manual rear mount (at chassis sub-brace)

dam so you cant use a 98 ecu and harness on a 00 ex??? if so that sucks plus its a auto trans

not without a jumper/adapter harness, no
in fact, it would probably be cheaper to just find a matching auto ecu from the same obd2 generation...rather than buying the harness
