Well, maybe this will help. My friend put the rear suspension off a Del Sol (discs) on a 96+ Civic Coupe (drums). Fit just fine.

GSR suspension will fit on a Del Sol.

ITR rear LCA's will fit on GSRs.

Do the conversion, yes

 

err nope, have to modify the lca from the itr to fit the EK's.

your friend probably just change the struts from delsol to EK, so the lca wasnt needed. but ITR struts are different so you need the lca.

 

how would i go about modifying it? please explain

 

modifying means lengthening the lca among other things, I never done it myself... too much headache. just get a sus made for SI

 

what can I use to put TypeR LCA on my 99 si? my budy posted this yesterday helping my out. I have N1 Type R coilovers and I want to find out how I could make it work please help me out.

 

Can't. You'd have to cut and reweld the control arm and I'd be worries about it's integrity at that point.

one more thing..... what if we found CTR LCA's ? Would that work? OR how about swaping GSR stuff in there to fit the ITR LCA?

Anyways, a crazy guy @ HASport was going to make ITR style rear lca in complete billet for the EK so he could run his TEIN coilovers that was meant for the ITR. Dunno what happened though.

 

CTR lca is the same as Si...no difference.

As far as I know only the ITR and older CRX (as well as JDM EG) uses ITR style rear lca. They're all the same length, so it would not be compatible with the EK.
