Need help identifying this part? HUB?
America's Tire stripped one of my wheel studs a few days ago. Well, they sent me up the road to this shop who replaced it in about 30 minutes "without breaking" the wheel bearing. Well, here I am and bearing works great with no play.
I observed the whole installation/replacement because Im real meticulous on who works on my car. I hate it when people rest their body weight on my fenders.
Luckily left with no dimples.
ANYHOW, here is the order process of parts removal that I observed:
1) Lugs and Wheel
2) 32mm Axle Nut
3) Rotor Locator Screws
4) Caliper
5) Off comes the rotor
6) Then they pulled this part off, holds the studs. HUB?
They pulled it off with this long rod that had a sliding weight. The long rod attaches to the hub by tightening 2 lugs so itll come off when the weight is thrown.
1. What is this part called?
2. What is the INSIDE diameter of this part?
Im thinking its the hub?

Just my appreciation for now. Do you know the inside diameter. Do you know if they the ID of the ITR Spindle and the GSR Spindle are the same.
The sliding weight thing is called a slide hammer, no idea on the inner diameter.
Oh nevermind, you wanted to know the name of the suspension piece. Yes, it's the hub.

rear as well, however you need to check caliper spacing.
I assume you are just trying to swap hubs and calipers rather than buying the
entire susp setup.
