Tail Lights
it doesn't matter what everyone else likes, get what you like. It's your car, your money. There is always going to be someone that doesn't like something on your car and thats fine, it's their opinion.

Go with what you like and what would look best on your car. Don't listen to other people's negative comments. Like TouringAccord said, there's going to be people that are like that. I'm actually thinking of getting some Altezzas for my 95 Accord.
Since we're on this topic, if I was to buy a pair of Altezza tail lights, the tail lights have the piece for the trunk lid on a 96 but my 95 doesn't have the lights on the trunk lid. Can this piece for the trunk lid come off so the tail lights will fit my 95? The website im thinking of getting them from says they're for 94-97 Accords, I just want to make sure.

They're different shapes if I recall, also the reverse lights for the 96/97 are on the trunk lid, so you would be losing those (not good)
That website doesn't know what they're talking about in that case haha, unless they have the same style made for the 94/95 and the 96/97

Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion when modding out their car; however, I just cannot understand the whole Altezza tail light craze on Accords. I think this has to be one of the most tasteless and horrible looking customizations ever. Yet, for some unknown reason, buttloads of Accords in my city have these tacky, gawdy and downright cheap looking tail lights! And it's not just Accords that have these lights...other car manufacturers (i.e the new Chevy Aveo) are putting Altezza lights on stock! Quite frankly the only car that Altezza tail lights deserve to be on are the Toyota Altezza (aka Lexus IS 300), and that is just what they came with stock. Accords are clean yet sporty looking sedans and coupes...putting cheap tail lights and clear corner lamps on these cars just dejects from it's original astherically pleasing body lines and looks way out of place with the car. As I said originally, everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, but IMO, Altezza lights on an Accord is a big no-no!
haha, wait, first you say to not listen to what others think but then say you're not going to get Altezza's since there is so much negativity? lol j/k
me personally, I'd just stick with stock

hahahaha, wow wtf?...accord forum sure is funny sometimes. usually when we get this kind of a thread, its usually non-stop flaming. but this time the responses were rather, uhh, whats the word. nice-ish?
well, since your not buying altezzas anymore, you can use that money for some maybe like....springs or an intake? i dont know how much altezzas cost so i dont even know if the mone saved would even get you springs or a intake

I agree also. If I didnt get aftermarket headlights, I would keep my stock tail lights. But, I have aftermarket tail lights and I want aftermarket tail lights. But, if people are going dumb about Altezzas, I don't know what to get.
I have Altezza's on mine and like them a lot. I guess it's a personal preference. I Think they look really good on these style Accords but not on a lot of other cars. There are some that can pull them off and I think the 5th gen accords are one of them. It's just several 8mm nuts you remove and pull the taillight off. Thats how it was on mine anyway.

hmm... yeah im lookin into getting some but my car is white with blue skyline graphics (no decals got it painted but a 'lil' bit diff.) anyways yeah my big ole red tail lights look weird on it now i think i dont like the whole red white and blue thing any suggestions on what u think would look better? pix going up in the pix thread. in 3 ..2 ...1 brt
Yeah well since there is actually no good looking Altezza tail lights for a 95 Accord, I'm going to go with some chrome JDM skyline style tail lights. I think the Altezzas look the best on the 96-97 Accords because of the extra part of the tail light being on the trunk lid, where as on the 94-95 Accords there is no extra part of the tail light on the trunk lid.
