Timing belt alignment
I've done some searching but my idea on how-to succesfully time my timing belt is still completely distorted..
My previous timing belt decided it was quiting while taking off from a stop light this morning around noon. I was only going about 5-10MPH and with my honda being interference I'm assuming this was a good thing because my valves don't seem to be bent @ all.
My problem is with aligning the gears etc correctly.
I've an 89 CRX Si and ran into this image here @ honda-tech:

which seems to make timing everything together sound a little too easy.. is there anything that isn't covered in this stepby that I should know about to make things easier on myself?
Thank you

its pretty simple. u should see a "dot" on top of the crank gear once u have the crank pulley, and t-belt guide off. u will align this with the mark on the oil pump. "arrow" pointing down. then as for the gear, since its an SI u will see 3 hash marks on the gear its self. and one "arm" of the gear will have an arrow or the word "up" on it.
obviously this is to point "up". but u will notice that the middle hash mark , which should be on the bottom of the gear, needs to be ligned up with the plastic line on the inner/upper t-belt cover thing located behind the gear its self. do not line the 2 outer hash marks parallel with the head!! this is for dx models only! be sure to align the bottom mark on the gear, top mark on the crank gear, set your tensioner all the way to loose, and tighten it while holding on to it, so it stays in the "open" or "loose" position. put your belt on, keeping all the slack on the right hand side. then loosen the bolt on the tensioner allowing it to "snap" back into place, then retighten it. put the crank bolt in and tighten it. rotate the crank counter clockwise to allow any slack that may have been on the left hand side of engine to move over, then redo the tensioner.
rotate the crank a couple of full rotations (till u see the "up" arrow on the cam move back to the top twice. and recheck all timing marks.
pretty easy, people make a big deal out of this procedure, until they have dun a few.
also, its a good idea to replace the water pump while u r in there!
