Need Advice on Current Setup?

Hey Guys,
I am having some small detonation issues at 2.7K and 3k and also from 6K-8.5K. It is not terribly bad at the lower rpms, and actually is intermittent. But it consistently detonates in the higher rpms (6k-8.5k). I have tried to reduce this; by manually retarding the timing virtually all the way back! I run 93 Amoco octane all the time and use royal purple 5w30 oil. I am not sure whether to just purchase a fpr or go have her retuned. I am not sure if my injectors are large enough or what. If someone thinks this can be handled by tuning, will you please make a recommendation if you can, for a good power fc tuner (preferably on the east coast, lol), that would be greatly appreciated. Please help. thank you. the setup is below.

290 cc injectors (prelude injectors)
stock fuel pump
stock headgasket
stock valves
mild port and polish
toda c's
comptech cold air
jdm 4-1 header
t1r test pipe and catback to stock muffler
apexi power fc
This car has been dyno tuned twice. I thought this was fairly common setup, I do not understand why I am having such issues. any insight would be great.

i wouldnt point figers at the CTR pistons right away. I would first get a bigger injector and some other sort of tuning method(hondata, crome ect.). i dont know much about the power FC deal, but if you are trying to retard the timing by the dizzy i would say thats one of the main issues. but thats just me. good luck
