Default Yeah Baby!!??

there is two tech questions so you guys know....

But I might just be able to get myself a clean crx tomorrow!!!yeah baby (hopefully ) (knock on wood)Took a look at it today/test drove it and still pretty decent. Although I was looking for a Si model it's a HF model instead. But the body is so freaken clean (no rust) only a spot of rust on top of the roof(weird) but that's the only rust. Guy who I'm buying it from says cars orginally from AZ so yeaup, saw no rust but only the sport of rust on the top roof. So pretty rare to find one in this condition out here in the mid-west

Asking price was $2000. Car has 175k on it, stock motor and runs decent, interior so-so clean, engines not too bad-leaks but not too bad . But only two problems that will bug me a bit is

1. idles funny-idle sensor thingy?
2. missing passenger coner and one socket

I'll be buying it tomorrow for $1800 so unless it gets sold before I try to buy it I'll be getting it and will post pics. if I can.

Well guess I won't say too much until I actually get the car but for my two problems there the idle sensor thingy isn't much to fix is it? The coner/socket is that a pretty easy fix? Because it's missing one of the sockets to the wire where the coner is for the light. Is there a way to get a whole new wire and sockets and yank out the old one? Well that'll be all for now...cross your fingers and hope I get the rex cuz man I've been looking for one for a while now! Hope this is it!

Whatever it is, HT will help you get it running right. Almost at the 1yr membership mark and picking up a rex... nice.

Good luck tomorrow.

yeah thanks HT for the help in the past and future to come....almost a year? huh okay...and since then I've owned 3 cars (honda) total before turning 19? bought it all myself with own hard earn cash ...wish one was a crx so I wouldn't have to go through this...or I can trade/sale my mint canadian '95 EJ heck nawh!!(I love her too much) but damn! anyways I did a little searching on the IAC, the idle question I had- no biggy think I can handle that, if I buy it...big *sighs* I'll let yall know next week if I own it or now but as of right now I'm thinking F* it and go buy the damn thing...but like I said it's an HF but freaken clean...so enough with this crap that yall probably don't want to hear unless I own it so f* this and I'll update yall next week or when I get the chance to come online if yall want to fellow up......peace out HT

some people prefer hf's to SI's because they are a little bit lighter.

true but but you don't have drums on (88-91?correct me)crx Si...I don't know it's just cuz it's a SI ...<--it's just the badge/sticker it gets from the factory that makes it special ...kinda like say would you rather have a '00 ex or si? or '95 si hatch or vx/dx with the weight not being a factor...so yeah but I'll update if peeps care to fellow...but still as of now I'm feeling like f* it and go buy it so I'll def. see tomorrow...and if **** happens to where I probably have to sell or choose then I will have to do so when it happens (if i buy) But hope that crap will never come even with the EJ but thanks.

yeah "idle sensor thingy"<--man I tell you I was freakens excited when I loged on and type that but I know what it is and it's nothing major that I probably can't do myself if I'm not lazy to fix it but the HF runs well still even with the leak when I test drove it which if I buy I plan to run it till it die or have problems and throw on a y8 to it or something cheap okaY enough peace I'm out

tech question....

okay so when your car(crx) idles pretty rough the thingy that's on top of the throttle body is call a throttle angle sensor or what is it. I mean I know where the problem is just trying to get the correct name to get the right part for it. Cuz when I have the car park and runnig or running and come to a stop it idles rough. so when I unpluged the senor it idles fine/quiet. Can I run it unpluged? Is that a good idea? anyways still new to the crx but will have to get a manual of some sort in a bit on the rex. I know it has to do with the EACV, would it just be called the air contril valve or idle control port/valve something. anyways TIA

Oh my heck! Freak man! Freakers..you got a freakin hecka deal....ZORZOMFG..

Srsly though, its probably just the idle screw. Little cap over it on the back side of the intake manifold. Two screws holding the cover on. take the cover off, turn the screw all the way in...start car....turn screw out SLOWLY till the car idles at 750...then you should be good to go..

Holy freakin heck!

still haven't had time to size picturebut don't worry I won't forget to post....

idle screw/back side....got a picture of what you mean? Cuz like I said I took off the sensor from the IAC motor/valve whatver and it idles fine, but was woundering if I can run it without it plug or not. Otherwise I was going to replace that the IAV motor/valve how ever you liek to call that and then it should be good..but I'll look into what you're trying to say...but your saying the idle adjuestment screw correct? thanks
