front caliper question!!! HELP

Default front caliper question!!! HELP

what is the easyest way to determine what caliper are supposed to go with the rotor.. some one did a break conversion for me and i cant get a hold of them to ask. i bought the stock calipers, they bolted to the spindel but the caliper is pressed up against the rotor.. do all civic have the same bolt patern?

do you mean the pad is clamped against the rotor? get out your c-clamp and squeeze that bitch back in

there are 2 different sizes of rotors - 9" and 10"
that also means there are 2 different calipers that match those rotors

which chassis is this on?

no the pads are not in.. piston is all the way in. i guess ill try some si calipers and see how it works..

the chassis is a 96 hatch back.. i cant remember is he said he put gsr on the rear and si on the front..

all rear discs are the same, so thats not important


ex/si/abs/integra all use 10" front rotors - the rest use 9"...that means those calipers are different too.
Which model were the calipers for?
The calipers for 10" rotors will not bolt up to knuckles made for 9" rotors, and vise-versa. The spacing is different.
...does that make sense?
