Hi, this is my first post. I just picked up a 99 dx HB with a gsr swap. It was running fine up until late last night when i was on the way home it started making this noise. sounds like clicking. the oil light was flashing, i check the dipstick and it looks low, so i'm sure it needs a change. And this morning when i went to check it out i start it up and it's idleing at around 1500rpms and i see a little smoke coming from the bay, and still clicking.

Please help

 

oil pump me be going bad. change out your oil pump and put new oil in and it should be okay. worst comes to worst you might of spun a rod bearing

 

Is there anything that i can refer to about this engine, I know little to nothing about them

No offense but if you dont know anything about mechanics i dont suggest your first job being a possible spun bearing. I recommend taking it to a shop.

 

yes i agree... there is a ot more to just pulling a part and replacing it...
