Default a breather on a tranny ???

I bought this b16 transmission and when i got it it had this breather on it. Why is that so, i know it was on a boosted car but still. I'm asking because i'll sell the tranny but i'm wondering if i might have a use for the breather on my car?

No worries please, it wasn't stolen. This is all happening in Europe where thieves prefer other car brands!

Any more input on the breather situation?

Only reason to use a filter is the fear that tranny fluid spraying out of the breather. But actually its really hard for oil to travel up there and come out. You could take the filter off and be fine.

Also honda didnt start putting vins on there trans/engines til i believe 99 (Civic) and 98 (Integras) anything earlier wont have it.
