Not sure if taking that cross-brace out is such a great idea

Other than that, nice parts

sit down and really consider this...

the cross-brace is located in such an optimum spot (middle of the car + low center of gravity) that theres virtually no benefit in removing it, performance wise...

put it back in, for safety sake

I'll be the fool... Leave it out and go .0003 faster per lap, Oh wait we don't time HPDE events

Just busting *****.
I do however agree with Mr. BlueR tho.

Dunno if it hurts or helps, but i have a full weld in cage and have that brace removed. My guess for weight, same as these guys... around 40 lbs.

yeah, working on my new project R........i thought about leaving the cross brace out, but i think it will help vs. harm your performance.....they don't weigh that much and could do a lot for the car....plus your bolt in hoop isn't going to do that much: The cross brace will help just fyi

for 24lbs just leave it in....safer and your not going to see any improved times from minus 24lbs...haha

i assume you have also seen the JDM front end's rebar compared to the USDM

plus, no one ever "plans" on getting T-boned...

Problem is, the rear seat bottoms don't fit in correctly if you remove that piece.

And yes, it's roughly 25 lbs.

If it really does anything other than keeping the car safer if you get T-boned...I have no idea.

Do the 00-01 non-R integras have it?

Paint the cage PYR to match the car.
