i finally decided to put my coilovers to use and lowered the car about 1 inch, plus removed the "diablo autosports" stickers i had on the rear windows, etc. so here is the result.

and the result after hitting a possum

Uh..I think the height is just fine for now. Keep in mind, he's rolling on stock shocks. Lowering it even more would cause the car to bottom out more over speed bumps, driveways, and whatever. It's a bitch. Yea, it looks cool, but convenience wise, it's a pain in the *** to drive. That's my opinion anyway.

Let me explain something to all the "lower it more" guys/gals. Your suspension/handling DOES NOT increase when "slammed". You lose more control of your car than stock. Unless the camber is fixed; which is almost impossible when lowered more than 2.75" - then traction from tires don't grip the road. Your axle/wheels slightly bend cause upto 20% less traction from tires. Therefore, less traction, less power and less control. Some aftermarket springs and struts/shocks perform better than stock - not all. Race springs don't technically mean your grip and traction are going to be a whole lot better - maybe worse. Looks are not everything...
I do like the lowered look - of course, who wouldn't, but function over fashion always comes first!

yeah, i have stock shocks and the reason i kept it at stock height was i didn't want them bottoming out, and the camber was bad when i bought that car. (skunkworks coilovers)
i brought it down because i realized it looked kinda goofy w/ the new rims, plus my tires are almost dead and im getting kumho ecsta supra 712's soon, plus i'm not driving on the freeway much anymore- less bumps, etc. so, i said **** it and dropped it a lil, i dont care about camber, but all the while keeping my poor stock shocks in mind.

suspension functionality only matters if the car gets used for handling purposes.. but if its a fully loaded clean looking 4 door, that only gets driven and flossed on the street..nothing wrong with being slammed.

That drop is perfect for the street. Not too high, not too low.

That looks real good. I have a sedan too, but it's not a GSR though. I've lowered mine on GC's and Tokico Illuminas. Mine looks a little lower than yours and it's not slammed or anything. Good work, and maybe get a comptech lip and paint your stock rocker panels.
