well i read the mini me threads in the 92 up civic forums and it didnt mention anything about pre 92s...so here it goes


i have a sohc obd0 zc bottom end and im trying to mate it with a y8 head...i've got everything together except for the timing belt...my timing belt is too loose, even with the tensioner all the way up its still flopping around...which timing belt should i get??

what belt did you use? I believe you need the y8 belt

 

nvm i used a d15 belt...


d16a6 has 107 teeth...which is too loose
d16z6 has 104 teeth...which is too tight

so i picked up a d15 belt which has 106 teeth...fits good...
