Default anyone know any place near Decatur, IL that would install a DOHC ZC in a CRX?

i need the engine in and i have no way to get it to the chicago area, all the ones ive seen have been in the chicago area, i need one as close as possible but still a good place.

also i have a friend who is a mechanic that said he would install the engine for me, i am just worried because he is a domestic guy. I know hes capable i just need like a checklist so that everything that needs to get done gets done. basically i need the engine in and i need it soon and im on a tight budget, i need to know anything you guys can tell me about dohc zc's in crx's and how hard it is compared to other swaps.

Thank you in advance im sorry for rambling...alot of questions in one post too

that swap is pretty much plug and play. It drops right in with minimal mods needed.

does that sound like a tranny problem? or a clutch assembly problem?

x2 I did it with a friend three years ago when I had very little automotive experience. It actually was easier than I expected.

thanks guys for all the help

does 100 sound like a good deal for a 88 si tranny? because if i need one i found one on here for 100...

also will it make a difference if the tranny is a diff year than the zc? or than my si ecu? jw

cuz now i have a 91 si ecu and im not sure what year the zc will be cuz i haven't ordered it yet, just trying to get this all set straight.

thanks again

I think the 88 tranny's have a different spline count than the 91's, dont they?

The transmission won't work unless you change your flywheel/clutch to an 88 as well. The ECU will work just fine regardless of the year.
