Got a dilemma here should i sell my car??????
I tend to change my mind about things wayyyy to often
ok heres the thing, im having a debate on what to do i've always wanted an S but love my civic tooo
thinking of trading in my 06 si for a 2005 silverstone metallic S2000 w/ 13k miles and its Certified at a honda dealer. 1 owner 60 yr old man all service records done at the dealer and everything. He traded it in for a new pilot, the car has 1 curbed wheel and a lil scratch on the front bumper. they were asking 25K so because of those lil things they will take off $1000 bucks.
so basically 24K
They are willing to give me a good deal on the trade in as well
what should i do?

Can you drive an S2k year round where you live? Also do you use the back seat/trunk, ever?
Those would be the deciding factors for me.

Yeah, you're exactly right. I was thinking about buying a used S2K before I bought my SI, but after I sat in the S2K, I realized it's too small for my tastes to drive everyday. It's not like I don't regret it sometimes, but I'm still satisfied with my decision.

well i do use the trunk a lil in my civic especially for my fishing rod and stuff but not like crazy. and i dont ever put anyone in the back seat
It all really depends on your tastes and how much the dealer is willing to give you for your SI. Have you test driven the S2K yet? That basically will answer all your questions.
Gotta decide how practical that is for you.
Is an extra ~8k on your loan going to work for you?
Is the increased insurance going to be a problem?
Can you handle a rwd car, let alone live in the right climate to do so?
Are you EVER going to need more than a two seater offers?

Depends on needs and taste, basiclly what elohel said, Civic will be more versatile, and much better to you in the snow.
Yet the 2000 is a whole lote more car, and way sexier imo, so its style and sport, vs form and functionality.

buying the s2k will be a bad decision for a few reasons
(take it from someone who almost bought one...3 times)
1. It snows by us
2. Too Small
3. Redesign coming & resale =
4. RWD
5. Unless your 5'5 or smaller... its s joke
6. Civic is more practical
Now steve... keep ur damn Si... you already weighed all these options when you were picking it up, i remember the 100 posts vs the Type S.
think about if u got the Type S how much you can get for it vs. your si.

1. if hes right dont get it
2. its not too small if you dont need the space
3. the s2000 is one of the best cars for holding its value. trade in value is pretty close to what they sale for. when mine was totaled i got 1900 more then i payed for the car.
4. RWD is so much more fun then FWD
5. another ignorant comment
6. this is true
imo ask on the s2k section or on s2ki.com you will get more helpful info there

ok i guess i really have to think about this one
i really like my si and i really like the S i know im just being stupid

I test drove both, and I liked the Si better from a driver POV. Neither are really that fast, but the Si has more room (I'm pretty big so that's important to me). The Si is great for a DD, if you want an s2k, also get a beater.
I like how the S2K looks better tho, and convertible is sweet, unless you've got issues with thieves.
If you could, get both, if you can't keep the Si until you can

To challenge your number 3.
You got the figure while the car is still currently in production.
The next change for the s2k is a complete overhaul on the model matrix
which will make the resale values Plummet.
