Default polished borbet wheels

i got these wheels for 40 dollars, that were terribly painted and in need of some love. as if i dont have any other projects on my hands, i decided to pick these up. i wanted to make them look good but not spend the rest of my life making them perfect, as they are going on my beater.

this is how i picked them up.

first shot of aircraft stripper.
they were painted gold, blue, and black. damn.
i hosed them off, used a plastic puddy knife and a old tooth brush to get in the cracks.

i took them to a friend that has a sandblaster to clean them up.
afterwards i used a disc sander to smooth out and clean up what the sandblaster couldn't.

this is what they came out like. i used 180, 220, 1500 and then 2000 grit sandpaper. i didnt want a bling bling style wheel, just something that looked better.

any comments are welcome

ps does anyone know the name of this wheel?
