Ok first off my check engine light came on and its saying im miss firing. So i replaced my wires and it helped it but keeps throwing the same code. So im thinking about going and buying a msd kit wires cap rotor ect.... Also when i start my car it revs high to about 2k and if i press the clutch it sometimes it seems to raise more. Also when i turn my lights on they seems to dim out and come back in and flicker. I have no clue.. BTW i got a 96 ex coupe w/ d16y8.

 

First check what code its throwing. Check the thread stickied top the top of this forum on how to do it, its very easy. Then go from there. Peace.

 

I weak Batt. or dieing ALT. will create some issues with how your car drives and starts when it is getting insufficient power. I would have your batt and alt checked before replacing any more parts...
When you said that your lights were flickering and dimming is what made me think this...

 

check your spark plugs before you do anything major. an arcing plug will cause a misfire. but yeah, check your DTC too, that will give you a good indication to what your problem is.
