Default 94 coupe or 88hb?

I got a 94 coupe thats black and is a automatic which sucks....I also I have a 88 std hb. Im trying to decide on which one to swap/mod.

94 civic Pros
1.I love the body style of the coupe
2.MPFI already
3.Its black
4.drives really nice 120k on the car

94 civic cons
1.Salvage Title...hit hard in the front before...looks straight but Id fix it right(im a auto body tech so not a huge deal)
2.AutoMatic..more time to do 5 speed swap
3.Needs Repaint(again no huge prob for me)

88HB Pros
1.no salvage title...all panels line up perfectly like from the factory
2.Light 1800lbs
3.sleeper status

88hb Cons
1.DPFI requires MPFI for any swap
2.Its biege(To time consuming for me to do a full color change..since im a single dad)
3.Square body style doesnt attract chicks lol...its a poon deflector
4.220k on the body but drives really nice as well

'94 Coupe for sure...the automatic to manual conversion isn't THAT hard

And swaps are 10x easier on the '92-'95 Civics compared to the older generation.

I would go with the 94 coupe. I got one so im a little partial. Its just looks way better, and probably a little roomier with your kid. the hatchie probably would be easier/cost effective to mod, but you'll definately get more chicks with the coupe. Even though its an auto, still fun to drive, plus you need both hands with kid in the car. We all love to mod cars but we gotta think about the kids and what would be easier to work with while they are in the car. I learned this first hand, im expecting a baby boy and had to get rid of my prelude and get 2 auto civics just in case the wife needs to use one or the other. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Get the Coupe.

Do you really wanna drive a rigged up (converted) 20 year old car?

And the fact that the coupe is just better looking

Hydro trannies ftw, Cables are alot harder to find in good shape.... Unless you spend more $$$$ on hydro to cable conversion from hasport and the like
