Default b20vtec CRX woes... help?

ok guys.long story short we've just finished putting (back) together my rommates b20 Vtec.... and it wont idle for ****

if you let the car sit overnight it will fire right up and idle.... and run ok... but as soon as you rap on the throttle a few times it will die... and the plugs are seriously fouled out. after that it wont run unless you let it sit overnight again.. it seems like theres something making it get too much fuel. the car has a walboro in it.. but it ran fine before the motor was taken apart..the timing is right.. there arent any vacuum leaks that i can find.. nothing

its a mystery to me.. it seems almost like the computer is stuck on a Vtec fuel map in non Vtec mode or something.... but its not throwing a code.... i plugged in a pm6 computer ( i figure this SHOULD run the car.. poorly.. but still run it) and the car acted the same.. no change

anyone have any suggestions?

b20vtec
obd0
b17 cams
walboro pump
everyting is hooked up correctly

thanks

edit: i think its the FPR... when you rev the motor ( pull vacuum on the reg) it seems like its sticking and letting too much fuel stay in the rail ( not get circulated) anyone had this problem before?

sounds like your running way too rich. check the psi of fuel and regualte it to the proper spec.

diffently check the fiel system ..fpr,injectors and fuel filter. is the fuel rail stock as is the fpr?

yep both are stock.. i cleaned out the FPR with some wd40 kinda stuff.. and the car ran and idled good until i blipped the gas the first time.... and it died.. i think the FPR is fine until you change the vacuum the engine is pulling ( thus moving the diaphram in the FRP) and the it gets stuck open and wont let the unused gas recirculate..

thats my theory.. well fiund out

thanks guys!
