Default Sparks shooting from starter?! + where does the fast idle vaccum go?

Shotting a little spark from the starter when ever i turn it on, just got the swap in...

i guess its coming from somewhere behind the starter? also the skreech in the video, I'm also guessing its the alternator belt?

http://www.yourfilehost.com/me...2.AVI

is there supposed to be a nut here? EDIT: THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE ONE THERE.

First yellow arrow on the left...where does it need to go?

left yellow arrow feeds into water pipe behind block, right yellow arrow goes through the throttle body/and/or cold idle valve

and it should be a long bolt, not a nut and stud, so once you get that tightened in, see if it still sparks, it could just be trying to ground

The one close to the Tb goes to the FITV. The other one goes to the back of the engine(not the intake manifold). The fitting is half way down in between the PCV and the oil filter.

you are right, they do not go there. the left yellow arrow hooks up to red #2.

the black box is part of the vacuum system, and the pipe you have it connected to right now is the water system. basically if you turned the motor on with water in it, it would fill the engine with water into the oil chambers. = bad news.

sidenote: use Wix oil filters. they are way better than frams

What you refer to as #1 is the PCV valve and that is supposed to be routed to the intake manifold(vacuum source).

does it really matter which one i route to the top of the IM? cuz i capped off the that goes behind the block or IM and #1. then just ran a line from the other vaccum off the pvc box to the IM.

I have a skunk2 manifold on my GSR and the large port on the manifold, I used for my EVAP. the only port left is the small on from the back by the Brake booster port. I got a reducer and routed my PCV there. As long as it is manifold vacuum, you should by fine. The way to check is that when everything is hooked up properly, there should be a slight vacuum at the oil filler hole when the cap is remove while the engine is running.

At the dealer the bracket is like 6-8 bucks and the cable is 35-40.

maybe... keeping in mind that the gsr throttle cable is at a completely different angle than a type r TB... (not really sure what chassis/engine/TB etc you are using) if it were me, I would have bought a complete throttle body

No, if you are gonna use the GSR pulley, then you will have no choice but to use the OE GSR cable. No need to but a Type R cable and bracket if you use the GSR throttle pulley. I ran into the same problem when I did my Manofold conversion. The dearler said you cannot buy the pulley by itself. Only complete with a throttle body assembly. I was like DAMN. An LS pully will work. I got my pully off an Type R TB. I'm not sure but if you can find an LS TB assembly, that'll work too.
