just yesterday my friend and i finished installing the crankshaft and today we plugged everything back. i feel that something is wrong i step on the clutch all the the car feels like it wants to stall. the car will be on 900rpms and goes down to 600-500rpms. on idle the rpms go down to 400rpms. something is wrong.
does anybody know if the water pump makes a squeeky hummings sound cause i think i have to replace it again.

So the title of this abortion is "car stalls when stepping on clutch," but that isn't happening. What's happening is that your idle is too low for your liking. That's a different matter entirely and can be addressed in any number of ways.
You also mention that you recently replaced a crankshaft - in WHAT, we can only imagine - and that you "think something is wrong".
Can a bad water pump hum or squeak? Yes, it sure can.
Maybe you could give us a single RCH of information that would help us help you?

before we worked on the car...the car idled on 900rpms. now it tends to go down to 400rpms then go back to 900. But my main concern is that when engaging on the clutch pedal all the way...the car tends to stall. so u can say i have two problems. could this be a timing issue or does this have to do with the master cylinder?? thanks!
