with GC, you only got two choices of shocks tho. oem or koni.

im going to be testing out some GC springs on oem shocks soon (a spare set, not my originals). i had to lathe the sleeves from my civic kit down just a hair for it to fit. but theyre absolutely snug now. got some moderate spring rates shipped to me yesterday. i just need to clean up the shocks and install.

why would you on oem shocks out of curiousity? you wont have the dampening ability and your oem's will go out in probably a year to two.

because they were free.

the lathe work was free.

the springs were gotten at a good deal and can be reused or resold.

i can reassemble a new set of full shocks with parts in my garage. (same as civic parts)

i cant say i believe what ppl say about OEM shocks not lasting. im going to test it out myself on some already used and "tired" set of shocks.

You have them on oem original shock ? What about the durability of your shock with ground control ?
Thanks

not so much of they don't last but the damper rate is not make for the GC

it doesn't really matter how little you pay but messing up the suspension and alignment for some freebie isn't just worth it imho.

but againn, it's your car so here a hug and good luck

But ground control is gonna be bad for the shock oem as a set of coil springs like espilir ou tanabe ? the only difference is i can adjuste the height , not ? So now idont want spend to much money on the car ...... this is the reason why im interest in ground control ... i kown that shock rate is not ok ... but the ride is gonna probably be like espilirs ? The ride is gonna be really worse than the original setting ????

Thanks

The ride quality will be much worse with the ANY lowering spring / OEM shock combo. the stock suspension is one of the best out there. I know a few guys who time attack their S2ks and they ran faster times with OEM set up. However this was most likey due to the fact that their Coilovers weren't set up correctly for the track. In either case, unless your investing over 2k in a full coilover setup your just ruining your cars handling.
But like iam7head stated. "it's your car"
I personally am running Tein RAs, couldn't be happier with that setup. Recently a buddy of my was over at Dynamic Autosports and the C-west time attack S2k was there and we were both supirsed they were running Teins as well. Most likely the SRC or RSs.

ive run gc's w/yelows on both of my s's and i couldnt be happier. plenty of options for spring rates plus you get the stand up warrenty of koni. my first set-up is on it's third car and probably has 30k on them and behave just like when i bought them.
