Y8 won't start...spark plugs doused with fuel
my D16Y8 will not start. it turns over but is not firing. i believe it is my ignition causig this; more specifically my spark plugs. my car was running rich before ruining spark plugs and it was throwing a code for the map sensor so i replaced it. after doing that, i replaced the spark plugs while i replaced the map sensor. after trying to start the car, the spark plugs are black and wet with fuel. what is causing this problem?

i don't know why, but did you look into the FPR? what about your o2 sensor?

replace your spark plugs and it should start. I had same exact problem on my ls vtec turbo, it wouldnt start because i was running very rich. Replaced the plugs retuned and it ran like champ. I had cracked downpipe which was causing me to run very rich
i do have a cracked exhaust manifold...header is on the way. map sensor is brand new. ill try to replace the spark plugs in the morning since thats the only thing i can think of right now or actually check the spark first. i need this to run since its my dd...hopefully it works. wish me luck.
