Default My 06 Si is BOUNCING off the road when I dump from it 5000 from a stop

So, when I do a launch, and I dump it from 4000-5000 rpm, my front tires hop up and down off the ground and it feels and sounds like the freakin' motor mounts are going to snap. I still haven't muscled my way through to see what it does. I always pus-out because of the sound. I know it's probably because of LSD and the 17's I have on it. But is there anyway I can resolve this without getting smaller tires?

launch lower & go to the track.

I would imagine the tires being cold..... not having good road contact would have a factor in the wheel hop. Should be fine summer time, but as Mike said, take it to the track.

Tires=rubber

Cold rubber= contraction (won't stick well)

warm rubber= expansion (sticks well)

it also has to deal with the way you let off the clutch...you might have to slip it a bit rather than a complete dump...if you do it right you'll just spin them smoothly. Keep practicing!

you have found the infamous wheel hop! a lot of FWD cars have the same problem. Well good luck and happy launching!

not sure if its available for your cars yet but upgrading the mounts will cure the wheel hop

so you can install
-a touque damper kit
-energy suspension motor mounts
-replace motor mounts

if available on the market
