I went through the 92-95 Civic Audio Console thread recently but didn't see one. However, I do remember seeing one somewhere.

I was wondering if the OEM double DIN radio from an Accord or CRV will fit, depth-wise. I tried installing a Ford F250 6-disc double DIN, but it was too long. The back of the radio would hit the audio console's frame, and the faceplate of the radio would stick out at least an inch from the front of the console.

I want to buy a CRV 6-disc changer radio, so I wanted to see it in first.

 

bang out the frame a little with a hammer and a flat head screwdriver..
it'll clear eventually... had to do such to get a double din eclipse navi/dvd unit in

 

 

 

Well, I bought my CRV radio. I'll see how it fits when it gets here.

Ok, I got my radio in. 3 days from IN to HI. As I feared, it didn't go straight in. I had to hack off the rear part of the frame where you would anchor the radio bracket to. Even then the back of the radio still hits the dash bracket, so the radio sticks out about 1/2" from the outer frame, but it's flush with the bezel part.

The picture below is a quick fit until I get my reverse harness and wiring harness. For some reason it's shifted to the left slightly, but I will try to make it look better when I finish everything.



The radio is an 06 CRV radio that lights up amber to match the rest of my dash.

what about screens? anybody fit a screen on theirs?

I've seen someone with a screen in the optional audio console thread

 

looks dope. a guy i know put a scion tc radio in his eh3 and it fits perfectly.

thought we were looking for double DIN's? looks good blue
