Default cable hydro b16 swap

aight so i ran into the delima that
hmotors and password are sold out of OBD0 B16A'S
so i decided that i was just going to get a an OBD1 for tuning reasons and that it is newer and i could also pull it and put it into an eg if im bored with my ED7 (90 si)
-at first i was going to just going to get the swap with the cable mounts and sell the hydro tranny and buy a lsd cable one BUT that would take more money out of my pocket as i would be waiting to buy one tranny and sell one SO
- i just figured i would get the whole hasport cable to hydro set up but i heard bad things about the hydro part of the mounts and heard speculation back and forth that you do and do not need to buy a 90-93 DA cable AND that you still need to get a DA rear mount and Tranny mount..

--- so i am looking for some definitive answers as to do you still need the DA mounts after buying the hasport kit? (with the OBD1 HASPORT HYDRO IN AN EF)
--- should i just sell they hydro tran and go with the cable tran even though i also hear that they have a problem with 3rd gear grinding
--- should i just wait for JHP-USA to locate me a OBD0 b16
(i've already rulled out the 92-93 xsi b16 that is OBD1 and comes with cable trans even though it would def solve some of my problems)

*** i am not looking for anyone to just tell me what to do for you people that love to flame, and yes i have searched just came up with to many people speculating things and the info i got was a couple years old so some new feed back would be good**

well man i went with innovative mounts on my b16a with hydro swap! i love the feel of my clutch pedal! i also went with them over hasport because of the hydro part of the kit i kept hearing bad things about the hydro adapter from hasport....but id just pick up a obd1 b16 i converted and its nice that i have a lot of choices in ecu's

i can just get the innovative mount for the tranny correct and use the rest of the HASPORT mounts?
- also do you know if i have to use DA mounts in addiction to the hasport or innovation mounts? or was that false?

**edit OBD1 B16 parts aren't gonna be as hard to find as OBD0

no if your buying the complete efb2 kit you dont need the integra rear mount.

Just the integra rear mount works fine without having to buy hasport mount.

I have the hasport hydro conversion and it works fine. But the for the rear mount
im using a integra mount. But it does look nicer having all the same mounts.

USE THE HASPORT KIT , BUT BESIDES THE MOUNTS U NEED THE REAR L-BRACKET AND THE POST MOUNT FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE,IT'S NOT A MOUNT ITS WHERE THE THE MOUNT ATACHES TO THE MOTOR

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by hellxno &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">---

Why rule that out. For the money and performance, i think its in your best interest.
Think about this:

- 170hp model
- obd1 electronics
- YS1 tranny, the best of the cable gearboxes
- has the best intake manifold design of all b series

So whats the reason?

go for the hasport setup i have it and love it. cant tell the difference between the two. im still using the 90 civic si cable. the hasport mounts got a bad rep but they changed the design. you would have to buy that post mount regardless of any mount setup.
i am pretty sure i have one too. i will look tomorrow

yes that is true but i really haven't heard anything good about it.
and Hmotors are sold out of them (i heard really good things about all the motors they had)
the pr3 ecu also, id rather have a p30
and it's probably weird but id rather have one that actually came out of a civic going into my civic (i had 2 teg zc's die on me within a month)
i also dont know anyone that is formiliar with that engine as apposed to the OBD1 SIR I I B16A
