Default Brake problem(s) with my new $500 crx. need help

Ok I bought this honda crx because it was only $500. It ran but had a short at the time, fixed that and blah blah blah, and I started to drive it home and I realized the pedal hit the floor, so I said "oh snap!" didnt want to drive it like that because it wasn't safe. What I did whas replaced the brake shoes/pads, Rotors, and cylenders(not master).

Now I bled the brakes a whole bunch of times with the car off. the pedal was tight but when I turned it on the pedal sank to the floor. So I said "lt me bleed them when the cars on". Did that pdal whas good for a little while but then it sank to the floor again. The fluid that was in it was nasty and i put all new fluid in.

This is whats weird, ok the car will be off i will push the pedal as hard as i can, it stays tight for a little and when i let off pressure just a little it sinks to the ground. when i pump it its good also. so when im driving its like sometimes it works and sometimes it just goes to the floor.

I think its maybe a vacuum leak or something? Do i need a new master cylender/seals?

What do you think?

aside from checking for leaks, i would have looked to replace your master cylinder FIRST.

also, follow this trouble shooting procedure.

Look under your hood and see if there is 'any' fluid first. Then check for any damp spots that look like the fluid was flowing straight down. Then check if your pads/shoes are worn down.

Edit: b/c i'm an idiot and read everything after i've posted

Yea, sounds like the MC. If you're on a hill at a stoplight just sitting there not changing the pressure, does it sink then? I've had 2 crxs that I've replaced the MC and if that's a yes and combined w/ the other details... it's the MC.

Yup, sounds a lot like the master cylinder.

Check where the master cylinder bolts to the booster and see if it doesn't look like is a rust path or and fluid there.

Actually I just checked there and there seems to be a brown/yellow residue under the MC. I would take a pic but my big D50 doesnt fit down there.

well, then your MC has gone to the crapper and hopefully hasnt caused the booster to leak.

it can happen, but it didnt happen to me, even when my MC leaked externally too.

just do the booster check i showed above.

Yeah I did that and it gets a ton of vacuum (I think so?) it sucked up my finger pretty good.
