Default $3.37 for a Nut

I have never understood the crazy prices charged by dealers for nuts and bolts. The following is the strangest example that I have seen.

The 8mm self-locking nut that attached the header to the cat (#31) is 20 cents, whereas the 8mm self-locking nut that attaches the B-pipe to the muffler (#32) is $3.37. I am pretty sure that theses are exactly the same.

If you think that's bad, I lost 4 stepped bushings from my comptech sway bar. Try $4.80 a bushing. No KY either.

I was just poking around trying to determine if the 8mm, 10mm, 12mm self locking nuts used all over Hondas and Acuras are all the same grade and spec. I am still none the wiser.

I'm waiting on my second ITR front bar endlink @ 63$ ea.
That's a lot. But at least those end-links are a moderately complex sturdy piece assembled from a number of parts. Self locking nuts can probably be bought by Honda for a few cents each.

Nut = hooker? Is this a new piece of California slang?

Try $10 i think it was for a valve lash nut. Its metric but its not a 6 and its not an 8, so it must friggen be a 7. Yea, don't strip those ******* - as they're expensive. It helps if your buddy dosen't hand you the extended handle ratchet that craftsman makes. It is nice however for anything else :-D

Re: $3.37 for a Nut ???
Add a couple of 0000000 into that and 1 NSX type R or Skyline GTR R34 and
we might have a deal!

Try finding all metal fine threaded self-locking metric nuts in the US. Home Depot, Orchard Supply, Fastenal, Mr. Metric, Kragen, Pep Boys, etc. do not carry them.
